Suggestions

Users have the option of submitting suggestions for texts. Thus, editorial team members receive suggestions for improving content quickly.

The possibility to create text suggestions depends on whether the function has been released by the administration. Editors with write permissions for the respective text have editing rights for text suggestions.

All Serviceware Knowledge users may create suggestions or add to existing comments.

Via the Suggestion icon it is possible to add proposals or to edit already open suggestions or to add a comment to an existing suggestion. If open suggestions exist, the number of open suggestions is displayed next to the Suggestion icon.

The Add suggestion button appears when hovering over the top corner of each text element and allows you to create a Suggestion or add a comment to an existing suggestion.

Suggestions can be added to each text element individually.

If a suggestion you have created has been processed by the editorial team, you will receive a message.

Create suggestion

If you want to create a suggestion for a suggestion, proceed as follows.
  1. Navigate to the text for which you would like to suggest changes.
  2. Hover the cursor over the upper right-hand corner of a text element.
    The Add suggestion button appears above the text element.
  3. Select Add suggestion.
    The change dialog opens.
  4. Enter a title and description for your suggested change.
  5. Save your data.
Your change is displayed in the history area. The user responsible receives an email about your suggested change.

Add suggestion

If you want to revise one of your suggestions for a text, proceed as follows:
  1. Navigate to the text for which you would like to suggest changes.
  2. Select Suggest changes.
    The change dialog opens.
  3. Enter a title and description for your suggested change.
  4. Save your entries.
Your change is displayed in the history area. The user responsible receives an email about your suggested change.
