Permissions
A listing of all permissions and the default setting in a default installation of Serviceware Knowledge is provided below.

API keys | The User has access to API keys |

Views | The user is shown the Views tab within Administration and can assign views to User groups and content. This permission is not required for assigning views when creating knowledge content. Copying is done via the Copy button in editing mode. Exporting is done via the context menu of a view. |

Archive | Controls access to the archive. Currently no function. |
|
|
|
|
Tree | This function controls access to for editing the tree as well as branches and and sub-branches. |
|
|
|
|
User | This function controls access to the user management. User management also controls the export of contacts to a CSV file and the possibility to log in as an administrator or another user. Note: The use of API keys instead of a token is recommended. |

|
|
|
User groups |
Editing user groups is important to be able to assign content and / or views to users. This is the User groups tab in the administration. When creating knowledge content, user groups may be assigned even without the permission. |

Bulk actions | The user can change text properties via bulk actions. |
|
|
||
Bulk-Request | Content can be called via the API and created via a bulk request. |
|
|||
Cancellation | Administrators have access to a folder with cancellations via the Dialog objects tab. |
|

Client Settings | This function allows the export of data. |
|
|||
Dialogs (Admin) | Administrators have access to the Dialog objects tab, which allows creating, editing and deleting new dialogs. |

Files | This permission controls access to files. |
|
|

Data export | Enables the export of all data via client settings |

|
End of process (EOP) | The user is shown the Edit EOP function in the editing mode of a dialog. |

External sources | This permission controls access to external sources. |
|
|||
Filter | This permission controls extended access to filters. A second set of filters can be displayed, and the order of filters can be suppressed and changed. |

Questions | The Questions function is visible via the Dialog objects tab. |
|
|||
Approval | This permission controls the release settings in the tree. |

Job execution | This permission controls access to the import function in the More menu within the external sources. |
|
|||
Contacts | This permission controls access to all contacts within Serviceware Knowledge. |
|
|
|
|
Category (Admin) | The permission regulates access to context data via Administration. |
|
|
||
Layout (Admin) | The permission controls access to the layout via Administration. Views are assigned in the system settings and in view management. |
|
|
||
License | The user is shown the Licence information information via the user menu and the current status of licenses can also be called here. |

Messages | This permission controls access to the Messages tab and via email. |

Notes | This permission controls access to the Notes tab in the search function. |

Pinboards | This permission controls access to the Pinboard tab in the search function. |

Tracking |

Versions | The user is shown the Versions tab in text editing. In addition, the user can display and call the archived versions provided for a text using the Archived versions button in the action bar of this text. Versions may be deleted and texts reset to previous versions. |

Templates | This permission controls user access to the Template tab. |

Suggestions | This permission controls user access to the Suggestions tab in the start menu, which concern their own suggestions. |
