Overview
Serviceware Knowledge is the knowledge management tool of the Serviceware platform. Serviceware Knowledge manages the knowledge in your company in a central database.
Using as agent
After log in to Serviceware Knowledge, the pinboard is opened.
- User menu
  Every user can make personal settings to his view of Serviceware Knowledge in the User menu.
- The start menu
  In addition to the pinboard, the start menu gives you quick access to sources that have been compiled for you personally and are often viewed.
- Tree
  The available knowledge is arranged in a tree.
- Search function
  The search function helps you find relevant content when navigation via the tree is not useful.
- Filter function
  Serviceware Knowledge has the possibility to filter result lists.
- Messages
  In Serviceware Knowledge, you can send messages and thus draw attention to articles, for example.
- Contacts
  As an agent, you can view contacts created in your Serviceware Knowledge.
- Content list
  In all tabs, the content list is located in the left-hand side of the screen.
- Content pages
- Lexicon
  The lexicon provides you with definitions of terms specified for your field of knowledge.
- Suggestions
  Users have the option of submitting suggestions for texts. Thus, editorial team members receive suggestions for improving content quickly.
- Rating an article
  Create ratings for views in Serviceware Knowledge.

Administration of Serviceware Knowledge
After logging into Serviceware Knowledge, you will firstly be taken to the pinboard.
Knowledge-App
The mobile app for Serviceware Knowledge enables read-only access to all articles and PDF files stored in Serviceware Knowledge.
Knowledge-Integrator
The Knowledge integrator is a browser plugin for Google Chrome that can be integrated into almost any web application.
Knowledge widgets
The Serviceware Knowledge functions can be made available via widgets both in the Serviceware Portal and in other external or platform applications.

The pinboard contains current information that the editorial team has provided for your user group. Depending on the company, your affiliation to a user group can mean, for example, the affiliation to a department or a usage type.

The information for specific user groups is referred to as views in Serviceware Knowledge. The Views selection menu is located in the title bar. If several views are available to you, you can select either a specific one or all of the views via a drop-down list and thus limit the topic of your content. Each view is represented by a color dot.

From the User menu in the title bar, you can configure settings to your personal Knowledge and create shortcuts. In addition, you can start searching directly from the pinboard.

The navigation menu provides the agent with the following functions:


	start	Opening the pinboard and tabs with personally compiled content and notes
	Tree	Opening the tree with branches, articles and files
	Search function	Search with filter selection
	Messages	The number of new messages is displayed in a red circle.

The action bar provides the user with changing options depending on the view, role and selected content.

	Attachments	The article contains further information in file attachments. The number of attachments is displayed next to the paper clip icon.
	Print
	Archived versions	View previous versions of the article.
	Download	Download the selected information to your computer.
	Save bookmarks	Saved bookmarks may be opened via the start page.
	Evaluation	Rate the article on a scale from 1 to 5.
	Release	Copy the content to the clipboard or send an email.
	maximize/minimize	Maximize the window area beyond the navigation menu or restore its original size. You also have the option to move the window boundary between the content area and navigation area manually using the mouse.
